Wilkinsons - Body Butter in Coconut & Vanilla - Review

Wilkinsons lately seem to have taken the beauty world by storm. With the release of their own make-up brushes and also a bath and body range which I must say all contain pretty darn affordable products.

Wilkinsons - Body Butter in Coconut & Vanilla

I'm pretty amazed to tell you that the cost of this massive 200ml tub of body butter is an amazing... 95p. 95p! You can check out this particular scent on the website here if you're interested. There are a variety of scents to choose from, which is down to your own preference really. I chose coconut because I freaking love the smell of coconut!

How about the body butter itself? How does it do? Well for those sensitive to smell I would definitely watch out. I have very sensitive skin so I have to pick a day when my skin is pretty okay to use this as the added fragrance can set off my skin. I can't fault the actual body butter however. It moisturises well and is very thick. It's actually almost the consistency of a tubbed face mask, if that makes any sense, but then melts well in to the skin. This for me is perfect for winter but now that the sun is finally showing I don't reach for it as often. It's just too thick.

Overall for a cheap body butter you can't really go wrong with it. I can see these being a perfect little gift/ stocking filler for teens/young adults.

Have you tried anything from Wilkinsons? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!

Soap & Glory - Off Your Face Wipes - Review

I will never get tired of Soap & Glory and the quirky names for their products. Those of you that caught my last blog post on their Whipped Clean shower butter will know that I am taking a look at some of the goodies I got in the Soap & Glory The Next Big Thing set. I have tried pretty much all of them now so I can give you guys a well informed reviews!

Soap & Glory - Off Your Face Wipes

Let me start off by saying that, apparently controversially, I use face wipes... *GASP*. For some reason they seem to be a beauty blogger sin? Well I make it no secret that I use them each morning to freshen up my face, especially before work. The Soap & Glory Off Your Face wipes were really amazing. The scent really woke me up each morning and each wipe was very well scented but not overbearing. I can only describe the scent as fruity and fresh!  Each wipe was well saturated too. The pack didn't dry out as I came to the end. I will definitely be picking these up for the summer as a little treat as it will be a lovely summery scent! If you're a fan of Soap & Glory and their scents I would pick these wipes up!

Now when I say as a treat... that's because for 25 wipes they are £4.50 available at Boots here. Now that isn't too bad considering a pack would last me just under a month however for day to day use I'm happy with my 3 for £1 packs from Poundland! I will be picking them up before Summer starts however! I'm exited to use them again! The wipes themselves helped really refresh my skin on a day to day basis especially in comparison for the cheaper ones I usually go for!

Soap & Glory - Whipped Clean Shower Butter - Review

Way back when at Christmas, gosh how long ago was that, I got the usual Soap & Glory The Next Big Thing gift set. Inside came a bunch of goodies, some of which I've already tried and some of which are new to me. The Soap & Glory Whipped Clean shower butter was new to me, so I thought I would share my thoughts!

Soap & Glory - Whipped Clean Shower Butter

Firstly, I love the concept of a shower butter. Essentially it is an in shower moisturiser. It lathers like a shower gel and moisturises like...well a moisturiser! You feel the results more after the shower however I can definitely feel the product going to work as it lathers. After you hop out of the shower your skin will be silky smooth. If you're feeling particularly lazy or you're in a rush you could leave it at that however I would suggest your usual moisturiser just to keep it up. I would totally take this away on holiday with me to keep my skin extra hydrated in the sun. I can see this product being my holy grail body-care product in the summer.

The product boasts that is is filled with over 25% moisture oils and butters such as 'velvety cocoa' and 'shea butter' with 'grapeseed, sweet almond and macadamia nut oils'. It also describes the product having a 'pistachio, almond and sweet vanilla scent'. Personally I think the product has an evident shea butter scent with nutty undertones... if that makes sense?

Overall I am so happy that I discovered this product. Four months into its lifetime with me and its about half gone? I use this once a week to maintain soft skin and help with the shopping list of skin conditions I have! Once this product runs out I will be replacing it in a heartbeat. You can pick up this product for £7.00 in Boots but, as I am sure you all know, Soap & Glory is regularly on offer in Boots for 3 for 2.

L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Base Primer - Review

I don't know about you guys, but primers seem to be shrinking in size each time I see them. For something that goes all over your face, like foundation, it always shocks me how small they are but how much they cost!

L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Base Primer

This is exactly why the L'Oreal infallible primer caught my eye! It's massive at 35ml! But how does the primer hold up? Well I tend to rely on either my Smashbox Photo Finish primer or my Maybelline Baby Skin primer - both of which are fantastic and I have reviewed. However recently I have just been using this!

The primer itself is so lightweight on the skin. It acts like water and just absorbs beautifully creating a flawless base. This product isn't scented and doesn't have the usual silicone feel most primers have. In fact I would say it has the consistency of a moisture which is really refreshing. My make-up looks fresher from the offset with this primer. Make-up doesn't fall into fine lines I now have, sadly collected, under my eyes and it even helps make-up sticking to dry skin I have noticed lately... the joys of eczema!

I would totally recommend this primer. I will be picking this up in the future for my day to day primer - though I can't see it running out any time soon! Have you tried anything from the L'Oreal Infallible range? Let me know in the comments!

Lifestyle: Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Conwy Castle - Year three

Prepare yourself for a long blog post guys! If you have been a follower of my blog for a while you will know that last year my wonderful other half proposed to me. It was our second year having a weekend away to Colwyn and this year marked our third!

Llandudno

We started off visiting Llandudno. We went away on the 3rd of April on a bank holiday so bus links from Colwyn were limited to Llandudno. We usually take a little detour to Llandudno so it was nice to go for our usual walk around early!

Llandudno

One thing I love about Llandudno is that everywhere you look it is just so picturesque! I want to live in a pastel coloured house please!

Llandudno - Me & Gaz

It was on and off raining on the day we went to Llandudno which didn't dampen our spirits! I was using this day to practice taking photographs with my Nikon CoolPix rather than my Iphone as I had done in previous visits! It was the perfect chance to photograph the surrounding scenery... hence why this post is very picture heavy!

Llandudno Arcade

We always seem to stop of at the arcades in Llandudno and offload my change that is weighing down my handbag.

Llandudno - Pier

We didn't win much but we won enough vouchers to get two Vimto lollies! They were well earner let me tell you!

Llandudno - Pier

I'm very proud of this photograph. Everyone I have shown says it looks like a postcard! You can really tell how stormy it was in the skies that day!

Llandudno

But as you can see the skies did keep clearing up enough for us to take a good long walk throughout the day soaking up the scenery!

Llandudno

I really love this photo of a single person climbing the mountains in Llandudno. I was proud of my eye for photography throughout this little trip! I've often said during the blogger chats that photography is something I admire as a skill and I would really love to do a course on photography to learn the basics,

Llandudno Pier

Again another picturesque photo. At this point we were heading home, or back to our hotel, the wind was really picking up!

Conwy Castle

The next day saw us returning back to the place were Gaz proposed! Conwy Castle! It was very heart-warming to return as an engaged couple who now live together! So much has changed in a year and it really made me reflect on how far we had come and what we have accomplished.

Conwy Castle

I will never tire of Conwy. It is so beautiful.

Conwy Castle

No matter which way you look the view is astounding. Those that know me know that I have a fear of heights! However I powered through, took my time and climbed to the very top of Conwy Castle for the second year in a row!

Conwy Castle

It's very easy to catch a beautiful photo of Conwy Castle. It does all the work for you!

Conwy Castle

Here is a picture of me at the top of the castle! It was a scorcher of a day, despite me wearing a coat and scarf which I couldn't shove anywhere else, which made it a pleasant walk around the castle!

Conwy Castle

Me and Gaz had a very busy week the week before we went to away! So it was nice to relax and soak in the scenery!

Conwy Castle

Here is a picture of me and Gaz at the very top of the Castle! We both did very well!

Conwy Castle

This view is very iconic for me. It is the view I looked out on when I rang mum to say that I had said yes to Gaz! It's a gorgeous view!

Conwy Castle

We eventually found the little nook in the castle where Gaz proposed after a little bit of hunting! It was well worth the hunt as it brought back a flood of emotions! It was lovely to come back to the very spot!

The Smallest House

Next we visited Britain's smallest house! I had visited this a few years back when I was a child. Of course it seemed bigger then despite being so small!

The Smallest House

I was literally stood right against the wall in this photo. It was incredibly small! I joked with Gareth that there would be very limited space to storm off to if any domestics occurred! Personal space? What is that!

The Smallest House

So that's it! All our photos from our little weekend away! I hope you enjoyed having a little nosey through our weekend! On the third day we relaxed and travelled back home! I'm already exited for returning back next year, everything being well, as it is a weekend away that holds a lot of fond memories for us. Who knows what year four will bring?

NOTD - Speckled Nails

NOTD - Speckled Nails

Hello everyone! So it has been the LONGEST time since I posted a NOTD post. I must admit during 'term/work time' I rarely paint my nails. Usually I'm too tired or I don't have the time. However I do treat myself during half terms!

      NOTD - Speckled Nails

I used Taupe Tulip from Sensationail. I then added a top coat from the L'oreal Top Coat Tweed collection in 918 Coco Tweed. Gaz actually picked me up this top coat as part of my Easter surprise. He did a really good job picking out something that I can use with tons of different colours. I will definitely be using this top coat a lot more in the future!

Have you tried Sensationail or anything from the L'oreal Top Coat Tweed collection? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below!

Yankee Candle - Red Raspberry - Review

Yankee Candle - Red Raspberry

I think by now my Yankee Candle obsession is pretty clear. I hate to think how many I have collected but honestly... they are my guilty pleasure. I love how scented they are and how their scent fills a home so well. Red Raspberry is that perfectly sweet scent that isn't overbearing. The scent has a 'weight' to it and is really a true to life scent of raspberries. I loved this scent so much that I picked my mum up a little jar for Mothers Day to try. If you're in to fruity scents I would totally recommend this candle! You can pick up a medium jar like this for £16.99 from Yankee Candle here.

What candles are you loving at the minute? Is there anything from the Yankee Candle range you would recommend?

Schwarzkopf got2b 2 Sexy Volumizing Spray Mousse - Review

Schwarzkopf got2b 2 Sexy Volumizing Spray Mousse - Review

Hello everyone! I hope you're all well and looking forward to indulging in a little bit of chocolate this Easter! Recently I've been trying a few new products for my hair. I have found it to be a bit flat recently. Probably because I've been trying my damnedest to  leave my hair longer between washes to help with its overall health and growth.

Recently my hairdresser suggested the Schwarzkopf got2b Sexy Volumizing Mousse so I thought I'd pick it up! Firstly, the scent of this stuff is amazing. It smells lovely, sweet and fruity. The smells lingers slightly after you have dried your hair too which is lovely and refreshing. It is also comforting to know it is in your hair doing its thing!

The mousse is designed to add volume and lift to the hair and my gosh does it do that! I have left my hair to dry naturally with this and also I have blown dry with this in my hair and either way my hair has a ton more volume than before I began using it. The results aren't just a one day thing either! I can sleep on my hair a handful of times and my hair will still have more volume that before I began using this. Okay so I won't be starring in a hair commercial with my day three hair but it looks a lot better!

You can check out the Schwarzkopf got2b Sexy Volumizing Spray Mousse here on the Boots website. It's available for the fantastic price for £4.19.

Have you tried got2be 2 Sexy Volumizing Spray Mousse? Or have you tried anything from the got2be range? What were your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!
