Models Own Ice Neon Polish - Pink Punch & Pukka Purple

So summer is kind of with us now? It can't seem to make up its mind where I live - is it Winter or Summer? Who knows! Regardless I have been embracing June by painting my nails in brighter colours! Models Own Ice Neon collection has been catching my eye for a while now so I thought I would give a few from the collection a go! As the name would suggest the collection holds all neon shades, there are five in the collection, very appropriate for summer!

Pink Punch

Models Own Ice Neon - Pink Punch

Firstly I tried Pink Punch which admittedly has more of an orange/red hue to it. I love this colour! It is bright but I found it to be very wearable with a lot of outfits yet also eye catching.

Pukka Purple

Next I tried Pukka Purple which is a gorgeous light purple colour. If you're a bit nervous about bright colours this is definitely the most wearable in the collection from what I've seen on-line. Still daring enough to make a statement but very wearable!

Overall I am very pleased with the two I have tried from the collection so far. I do intend to try a few more throughout the summer. There are five in the collection which you can check out on the Models Own website here.

What polish have you been wearing lately? Let me know in the comments!

No7 Blissful Body Wash - Review

No7 Blissful Body Wash

And we're taking another trip back in time to the No7 Advent Calender to review a few of the minis from it! Since this body wash will be making an appearance in my next product empties post I thought I could provide a pretty thorough overview of my thoughts!

Firstly, the full size is available for £9.50 which you can check out here. For a body wash that is a bit steep for me but I can tell you, you are paying for that added extra luxury feel with this product.

This body wash feels so lovely, thick and moisturising. As I lathered this body wash up I felt it was actually helping with any dry skin problems I had. The scent is very light and refreshing. I love using this body wash with my loofa as it provides such a lovely, thick lather with a lingering fresh scent which just makes it feel that little bit more luxurious. As you can tell I loved it, I finished it up after a month of continuously using it. I was sad to see it go! I may have to pick it up in the full size as a treat to myself!

Have you tried the No7 Blissful Body Wash? What is your favourite body wash? Let me know in the comments!

Reading Challenge - 2015

2015 Reading Challenge

2015 Reading Challenge
Claire has read 0 books toward her goal of 20 books.
hide
I know what you're thinking. Isn't it a bit late to be starting a reading challenge for 2015? Well yes! But with summer approaching I have a lot more time to get back in to reading. I've been very busy with the last few terms of gaining my QTS so, shamefully, I haven't read a single book so far this year. I know I'm disappointed in myself!
I am setting a rather modest goal of 20 books for the remainder of the year. I'm the type of person that loves a challenge to help keep me motivated... so fingers crossed I manage to keep to my goal of 20!
I have put my widget above so if you have Goodreads feel free to follow me on there! The widget is also on the right sidebar of my blog!

No7 Lash Impact Intense Volume Control - Review

A few days ago I was looking through my camera, as you do, which made me realise that there are a few products from my No7 advent calender last year that I still haven't reviewed for you all! So let's fix that! Today I will be reviewing the No7 Lash Impact Intense Volume Control mascara.

The packaging of this mascara is gorgeous. It has a sparkly red plastic casing. The full size product looks amazing with this casing! Would it be bad of me to repurchase this mascara just because it will look pretty in my collection?  Anyway! The mascara itself is design to add volume and it does just that! It adds volume and separates the lashes.

I particularly like this mascara as it adds a natural looking volume The brush allows for even dispersion of the product with clump free application to the lashes. It is a great everyday mascara that I love to chuck in my make-up bag when I am heading out or going away! This mascara, full size, is available for £13.50 which you can check out here. Personally I think the price is a little steep but I would definitely repurchase as a treat to myself!

Have you tried No7 mascaras before? What is your favourite mascara? Let me know in the comments below.

Lifestyle: My 23rd Birthday

My 23rd Birthday

Hello everyone! This week, on the 9th of June, was my 23rd birthday! It has been a lovely little week where I've had the chance to celebrate my 23rd with family and my other half!

My 23rd Birthday

Last Saturday night I went out for a meal with the other half and my parents. If you follow me on instagram you will have seen the photos I popped up on there! Check below for the details of what I wore that night.

Coat: George at Asda
Dress: George at Asda
Bag: River Island
Leggings: Warehouse
Heeled Boots: New Look

My 23rd Birthday

We spent Sunday making tons of rice crispy cakes which are now overflowing in my fridge. We made these because I'm allergic to egg so I can't have a normal birthday cake!
My 23rd Birthday

I was very lucky this birthday and got tons of presents and cards from friends, family and of course the other half. I got two brand new satchels from River Island which you may have seen featured in my most recent OOTD/N posts. I also got three new Yankee Candles, three Soap & Glory fragrance mists, a bottle of my Loverdose perfume, some new earrings, multiple W7 palettes and best of all a minion keyring! I love the minions!

My 23rd Birthday

After coming home from work and having dinner out on my birthday we came home to light my rice crispy birthday cakes! You're never too old to blow out birthday candles!

So there was my 23rd birthday in a nutshell! It is amazing to see how much everything has changed in a year. I've moved out, completed my teaching qualification and will be graduating again in a months time. Who knows what will happen before I turn 24?

*MooGoo - Dusty Girls Natural Tinted Cream and Blemish Cleansing Moisturiser - Review*

Back in December last year I reviewed a few MooGoo Skincare* products that were sent to me. MooGoo contacted me once again asking if I'd like to try a couple more products from their range; their Cleansing Moisturiser and their Natural Tinted Cream. Of course I said yes as I love the MooGoo range!

MooGoo - Dusty Girls Natural Tinted Cream and Blemish Cleansing Moisturiser

MooGoo have the cutest packaging. They sent these products once again in the cutest delivery box, check out my last review to see how adorable the delivery packaging is! The Cleansing Moisturiser box is actually in the shape of a little milk carton! How adorable! If you're interested in reading a little about MooGoo and the products they have to offer check out their website here.

Dusty Girls - Natural Tinted Cream

MooGoo - Dusty Girls Natural Tinted Cream

I received the Dusty Girls Natural Tinted Cream in the shade light. This tinted cream is designed to help with acne prone skin. It is no clogging and has an SPF of 5. You get 50ml of product in this sturdy plastic tube with a pump to help with application. This product is also not tested on animals.

MooGoo - Dusty Girls Natural Tinted Cream

Let me start by stating that I love this tinted cream and I have in fact replaced my usual foundation with this tinted cream. I feel as though it is letting my skin breathe a lot better whilst allowing for coverage which is very build able. This is the most high coverage and build-able tinted cream I have every tried yet you can't feel it on your skin at all! I also feel very happy that I have a slight bit of SPF in the product protecting my sensitive skin.

MooGoo Blemish Cleansing Moisturiser

MooGoo - Blemish Cleansing Moisturiser

Next we have the Blemish Cleansing Moisturiser. This moisturiser contains no benzoyl peroxide and helps blemish prone skin alongside helping to moisturise. Once again this product is not tested on animals. Once you open up the milk carton shaped packaging you reveal the plastic tube containing 75g worth of product.

MooGoo - Blemish Cleansing Moisturiser

I've been swapping this moisturiser in to my skincare routine when I have ben getting the odd occasional spot. It helps clear them up straight away! It is a lot lighter than my usual day moisturisers so I can see this being my day to day moisturiser for over summer! It is also very cooling on the skin and leaves my skin feeling very refreshed!

Overall I have found two new products from the MooGoo range that I have fallen in love with and will be repurchasing once these run out! An 11/10 from me for both these products!

OOTD - George at Asda Dresses

Okay, I fell off the fashion blogging train but I've gotten back on at the next stop! Already this year I have posted more OOTD/N posts than I did last year which I am proud of! If you have been keeping up with my OOTD/N posts you will know that I am a big fan of George at Asda, especially for the price you can pick them up for! Today I am featuring a particularly floral summer dress that was a steal at £6!

OOTD - George at Asda Dresses

Cardigan - New Look
Tank top - Primark
Dress - George at Asda
Satchel - River Island
Leggings - Warehouse
Ankle Boots - New Look

I love this dress. You can wear it with a tank top underneath to make it more work appropriate or modest should we say! But you can also wear it without anything underneath and flaunt a bit more of what you have! I can imagine it being perfect for the summer, if we ever get it!

I also love this monochrome satchel from River Island. It is an early present from the other half and I have been wearing it ever since I got it!

Soap & Glory - Sugar Crush Fragrance Mist - Review

Soap & Glory - Sugar Crush Fragrance Mist - Review

Well it seems I have gone a bit Soap & Glory mad over on the blog! But I have to bring this new find to my readers attention as I have fallen in love! As I said in my last post, I love having tons of scents each day to pick and choose from. During a recent trip to Boots I found the Soap & Glory range of fragrance mists and saw that they had one in my very favourite scent, Sugar Crush, so I just had to pick it up!

Soap & Glory - Sugar Crush Fragrance Mist

The packaging is so amazing for these fragrance mists! They are in glass bottles with a little spray top. The actual label is on the glass itself and not on a sticker which makes it look very professional! The scent itself is pretty much the same as the body mist and the whole sugar crush rage but, in my opinion, the fragrance mist is a lot more like a perfume as it seems to last a lot longer than a body spray. Once again if you're a big fan of citrus scents this is a must have.

Soap & Glory - Sugar Crush Fragrance Mist

The attention to detail for this product is amazing. Okay, I am raving a lot about the actual bottle but when you're a massive collector of scents and they all sit very prettily on your vanity it is satisfying! The fragrance mist is £10 which you can check out here. Really you can save money and get the body spray for £4 but if you're after a longer lasting scent and something nice to add to your vanity these fragrance mists are worth the splurge!

I am secretly hoping the other half picks me up a few more from the range for my upcoming birthday! Have you tried any of the fragrance mists from Soap & Glory? What is your favourite scent from Soap & Glory? Let me know in the comments!
